Pat McGee Band releases 'These Days'

Friday, July 6, 2007

Our friends The Pat McGee Band are officially releasing their long-awaited new effort "These Days (The Virginia Sessions)" today at their much anticipated Wolf Trap event tonight in Vienna, VA. The A. Davis team is pretty fired up for the new effort.

As long-time fans of PMB, we're especially excited this time around as the guys used a Monterey Cypress A1 for several of the tracks on this nine-song gem.

From the opening riff of the opening track ("Guess We Were") you can definitely hear the impact this bright, punchy A1 had on McGee's latest effort. Stay tuned for a future Q&A with Pat regarding which tracks he used the A1 on, what he and guitarist Brian Fechino dug about it and how it responded under the studio mic.

For now, get over to their site and download their latest effort. For those wanting a quick PMB fix, look no further than our media section to see the Pat and Brian backstage at The Roxy on a few of our acoustics, strumming their hits "Must Have Been Love" and "Shine".

Welcome to the official A. Davis Guitars Blog. This is a section of our site we're extremely fired up about as we feel there are several ways we're planning on using this exciting medium.

Our goal here is to spread 'the word'. The word about our guitars. The word about the artists playing out guitars. Anything newsworthy in the acoustic guitar community. Q&As with our head luthier Art Davis. Stories from the old Taylor era. Recaps and experiences told by our Artist Relations guys and industry folk they've sat down with when showcasing our guitars.

You name it, it'll be here... and then some.

It's late June and we plan on going live with the brand spanking new A. Davis Guitars site no later than mid-July. Stay tuned. It's about to get exciting.
