Born in Maywood, IL a few decades ago, I currently live in Southern California with my wife Andrea and son Jordan. I have a daughter Suzanna that also lives in San Diego.

My first guitar was a Framus 12 string. I started out just like most kids with the love of music and was fortunate enough to be able to play a little and sing a little. I can still do a 40 minute set but I don't think you will stick around for the full 40 minutes.

The 60's and 70's were a great time in Chicago where I was born and I do remember most of them those times. I got out of music in the 80's and moved from Chicago to San Diego to pursue my finance and entrepreneurial career, but the music came back to me.

In 1999 a client of mine told me to check out this custom builders work, so I did. I had never heard any guitar like this one. Art Davis and I decided to join forces after we met and that is how A. Davis Guitars began.

This is a great business with great people and talent all over it. Our thoughts on marketing combined with Art's expert building abilities opened the door to spread this instrument to guitar players all over the world.

My belief is that any player - whether they're beginners or studio musicians - should never put any less quality guitar in there hand than the top pro.

In other words: you receive the same treatment a Jackson Browne, Pat Simmons or Jeff Pevar will get.

We sell directly to the artist which gives us some flexibility of selling at a great price and our client never deals with sales people. Building a small group of talented people working with that have the same goals and beliefs is the name of our game.

I believe that every guitar has some vibration that a artist or writer feels when they play and that stimulates the thought or direction. Our goal is to help the artist feel that buy making the guitar the best so the world gets to enjoy more good music.
