A. Davis Guitars Launches Its 2002 Series
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - March 1, 2002 - Labeled as "Serious Guitars For Those Who Take Guitar Playing Seriously," A. Davis Guitars is rolling out its 2002 series effective immediately. The three models made available are the A1, M1 and SD-1.
The performer's dream, the A1 is the ideal on stage instrument. The Auditorium model is highly refined for concert performance with easy cut through tonality concentrating on clarity with the power to reach the back row.
The most player friendly and unique guitar on the lot, the M1 is known for its balanced tone. Clear and smooth highs, a sturdy mid-range and a tight low end make the 1 a dream in the studio. Just mike it and record away. Perfect for finger picking or lead play, the M-1 sharply defines individual notes yet handles medium strumming with ease.
The Super Dreadnought model is the classic strummer's guitar. With the ability to respond to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming, the SD-1 is a completely versatile instrument. Its carefully crafted shape helps retain volume and a defined bass response while still producing clear trebles and mid-range tones.
In a bold industry move, A. Davis Guitars is holding back on entering the retail market. Instead, they are currently targeting a select group of musicians for their high-end acoustics.
"I want these guitars in the hands of those that inspire me musically, as well as any player in the market for a beautiful, custom acoustic instrument," said Chris Bello, Online Marketing Director & Artist Relations. "We're getting great reviews from several industry publications as well as a few guitarists and producers who are definitely household names. The word will spread. I'd rather invest our marketing budget in making the best guitar possible and let the other guys run the full-page ads. Our market will find us, and when they do, acoustic guitar playing as they know it will never be the same. Our guitars are truly in another league."
Arthur Strum Davis has designed and crafted custom guitars in San Diego for twenty-five years. He spent 1986 through 1997 working for Taylor Guitars and honing his skills as a luthier. Since then he has put much time, thought and effort into launching his own personal line of guitars - the much-anticipated A. Davis Series.
